We start with a full version of the RainBarrel Audience Graph for the USA and Canada, with privacy compliant, consented, location-based mobile device data.

From there, we apply our common sense process and data science problem-solving to establish real people in the graph, for real impressions.

How do we include a real person?
Real people...

Move around the world in real time, with real distinctive patterns. We eliminate devices that never move, or have a single location data point.

Are unique. We eliminate devices with the same data as other devices.

Don’t defy the laws of physics. We remove any devices that move through space and time faster than commercial air travel, or any other technology that would make this possible.

Move in patterns that reflect normal human behaviour. We remove any devices that don’t gravitate to a recurring location.

Use more than one device in a day. We take into account other household devices that may appear with a real person.

That’s just the beginning. After this primary screening, we use other data science algorithms to work through more subtle signals in the data to further refine the list to real people.

The result is an anonymized, Real Impression audience, ready to use in your campaigns.

United States and Canada.

1. In your line item settings, navigate to “ADD TARGETING” and select “Audience lists”.

2. Next, under “First- and third-party audiences” select “ADD”.

3. Then, select the drop down under “Audience type” and select “Third-Party”.

4. From here, you can search for “real impression” to find the audiences.

5. Lastly, select the Real Impression audience you want and select “Apply” to add it to your line item

Please add a Real Impression audience with an AND condition to filter for devices that both meet your targeting requirements and utilize real Impression.

Ensure your targeting parameters aren’t too granular. For example, if you are using radius geotargeting try changing it to the city level. 

We also recommend increasing the CPM bid to help improve delivery.
